Tuu Yung
Tuu Yung is a musician/ songwriter/ Emcee who operates out of the 757 area code (Virginia Beach, Norfolk) the same place that birthed the "Something In The Water" music festival. He arrived in the area in 2012 when he earned a full ride scholarship out of his home town in Richmond, VA to play baseball for Norfolk State University where he got his degree in Psychology. After a career ending injury amidst his talks with pro baseball teams he quickly redirected his energy to pursuing his second passion; Music. Since the age of 7 Tuu Yung has written, composed, and sang songs on an old 8 track to learning how to mix using a 24 track recorder. After 4 years on his road to being a full time musician he continues with alternative hiphop projects such as "Remnants Of The Heart" all the way to hardcore trap/ club records fused with a conscious undertone in his latest release, "GoatSeason" featuring close members of his labelmates from "Too Trill For Tv", a label formed by Swisha Sweet P, Daygo Red, Czarnicholas, James Mcclain, and Caleb M. Too Trill For Tv is also active with the Frequency VA music group in which Tuu Yung also participates as head ambassador for the brand. Frequency Va is a home for all passionate artists in the collective 757 scene and has been instrumental in the growth of the scene we've seen in recent years. Tuu Yung is an artist that fights and stands for the destigmatization of mental illness, human equality, and freedom of speech as shown in his hard pointed songs filled with profound lyricism mixed with melodic sequences with backgrounds of alternative rock, hip hop, and R & B.
