Maruxa Lynd biography

Hailing from The Philippines but raised in Malaysia, Maruxa Lynd started her musical journey in the heart of Kuala Lumpur as the frontwoman of an alternative /indie band, Beatburns since October of 2011 when she turned 22 and was part of the line -up that was under the wings of Universal Music (Malaysia) from 2016 - 2018.

Over the years, Maruxa Lynd has been featured in different songs by Malaysian bands/artists with the likes of An Honest Mistake and Donnamarie and K-Town Clan's Crunk Cowboys & The Moon $hine Music, releasing collaboration projects since Beatburns' hiatus in early 2019. Maruxa Lynd wasted no time and took the hiatus as an opportunity to explore her favorite genres and this led to the release of two Hip- Hop singles in the same year entitled AAK and Zen.

At the end of 2018, Maruxa Lynd began collaborating with artist/producer Reckless Escapades and their first release together, a Christmas themed banger "Ho Ho Hoe" with DJ Hooligang marked the beginning of her journey with Reckless Escapades' independent record label, Goldensound Studios MY. The Reckless Escapades & Maruxa Lynd tandem continues to create music together to date and has released hits like "Say A Prayer" on February 2019 prior to tying the knot and released another single called 'In The Clouds' on August 2019 and 'Dats Fax' on June 2020.

Reckless Escapades biography

Ian Koren is Reckless Escapades, a hip-hop artist / producer from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Reckless Escapades was born in 2015, with the creation of a SoundCloud page and with an upload of the song A Roaming Beggar. The next couple years were quiet for Reckless Escapades as he only released a handful of demos on SoundCloud but things would soon change in the year 2018. In November of 2018, his single Down on My Luck was featured on Spotify’s editorial playlists Beats & Rhymes and New Music Friday Malaysia. The success of “Down on My Luck” (over 99,000 streams on Spotify) encouraged Reckless to release new music often, sometimes dropping two new singles in a month. Reckless is no stranger to the stage and has performed at festivals like Too Saucy @ Tempatan Fest 2018, Urbanscapes 2019 and Jameson Block Party KL 2019.

Reckless Escapades was selected as Hitz FM's Homegrown Artist Of The Month for May 2020. Reckless is gearing up to release a couple of EPs in the second half of 2020, one of those projects is a collaboration with his wife Maruxa Lynd.
