JOY RUCKUS CLUB
FIRST EVER ASIAN ARTIST ROUNDTABLE
While many of the Joy Ruckus Club performer's represent many different parts of the world including Australia, Canada, China, Vietnam, and the continental United States, we all have our individual stories struggling with our Asian identity amidst an increasingly globalized world.
The Asian Community and all of its rich diversity stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters of the Black Community against the systemic racism that affects all people of color, and we want to emphasize the importance of the Black Lives Matter movement in creating an equitable and just society for all.
In this discussion, we go beyond our identities as artists and entertainers and address topics of improvements to racial justice, deconstructing the myth of the 'model minority', and dispelling the societal tensions that pin marginalized communities against one another.
Tune in on Day 2 of Joy Ruckus Club to listen to a necessary and collaborative conversation about the effects of systemic racism on the Black and Asian communities, hosted by Joy Ruckus Club Event Coordinator Auzzy Nufable with JRC artists, influencers, and entertainers.
